The Misfit in A Good Man is Hard to Find
In A thoroughly Man Is Hard to settleÂ, events are told from the grandmothers point of view, do her the central character of the paper. We resonate at the beginning of the novel that she considers herself to be a lady. root by her description of her travelling outfit in comparing to what the mother wore slacks...still had her hair fastened up in a green handkerchief. Then by her mindset that if there were to be an accident, anyone seeing her dead on the highway would contend at once that she was a lady. The motion she asks of the Misfit, You wouldnt shoot a lady, would you?  understandably states this. save into reading the degree we see she has very un-ladylike qualities. secure from the beginning her being egocentric is shown by her trying to put down a pre-planned vacation conclusion changed. She wanted to visit roughly of her connections ...and she was seizing at any chance to change Baileys mind. Further on in the story it is shown again by her bug ger offting Bailey to change course to polish off at a plantation house. The children are used as an aid in this by her craftily telling them on that point was a secret-panel in this house,  which, non being true, shows that she has no chore being dishonest to get what she wants. The grandmother also thinks of herself as morally superior to others. This is shown when she tells Bailey that she wouldnt catch her children in the direction that a criminal like that  was escaped in. I couldnt answer my conscience if I did. It seems she is pointing out how morally superior she is in righteous this one statement.\nThe grandmothers desire to diminish to the past, when people were nice, respectful and honorable are shown in her colloquy with Red Sammy. These days you dont know who to trust  he says as he sits down at a table conterminous to the family. He tells them of how two fellers  had stolen hired gun the week before by charging and never coming masking to pay. Now why did I do that?  he asks. Because you...
